We had the recent pleasure of attending the 420 Jazz Soiree in beautiful Palm Desert. It is an exclusive invite-only event series for cannabusiness heads and like-minded independents of the local cannabis community. Starting appropriately at 4:20pm, the outdoor patio was sun-filled and comfortably warm. A live jazz duo played a mellow and melodic soundtrack, perfectly fitting to the garden-lounge atmosphere. Inside the venue was a VIP room featuring a number of jazz heavyweights blasting a collage of colorful sounds throughout.
The crowd was a combination of Palm Springs chic, seasoned artist-types, entrepreneurs young and old, eccentric musicians, and a laid back friendliness amongst all.
The participating vendors included a variety of dispensaries, CBD items, topicals, edibles, and more. A few noteworthy vendors we were able to chat with and sample were Know Label, Melissa Etheridge’s brand of cannabis infused wine, body care line Apothecanna, North Hollywood’s Green Miracle dispensary and skincare start-up Potency 710, whom together are a husband and wife team that “make you feel good and look good.” Local delivery service, Desert Flower Delivery, had a lovely display of infused chocolate covered strawberries. And newly public Riverside dispensary Caviar Kids offered a table full of prime bud selections on generous discount.
Hosted and coordinated by Patte Purcell, cannabis and jazz writer for the CV Weekly, the 420 Jazz Soiree was classy, cool, and a memorable representation of what the High Desert cannabis community has to offer. Check out some of the photos below!
