Many in the world of music, entertainment, cannabis culture and damn near everywhere else are familiar with Calvin Broadus, aka Snoop Dogg. One of his companies, MERRY JANE, launched in 2015 as a cannabis-focused digital media platform. Co-founded with media entrepreneur Ted Chung, MERRY JANE showcases content on business, cannabis industry politics, along with a database / locator for cannabis strains and dispensaries.
For a limited time, Snoop Dogg and MERRY JANE are teaming up with Jack in the Box to launch a campaign commemorating the legalization of recreational cannabis in California. The late-night ‘MERRY Munchie Meal’ will include: Halfsies (½ curly fries, ½ onion rings), two famous Jack in the Box Tacos, five Mini Churros, three Crispy Chicken Strips and a drink for the highly unbelievable price of $4.20. The clever wordplay and low price are likely to spark interest in new customers, along with faithful ones, to take advantage.
According to Iwona Alter, Chief Marketing Officer of Jack in the Box, Jack’s Munchie Meals have been very popular in how they speak to and connect with their audience. Jack in the Box is a frequented fast food spot for many especially at night after concerts, festivals, clubs, and various other. This campaign is yet another way to help Jack in the Box welcome those late-night cravers. This is not the first time Jack in the Box has given a nod to the cannabis community and probably won’t be the last. Some may remember the “Two Tacos for 99 cents” campaign and the introduction of the initial Munchie Meal product line.
“Launching the MERRY Munchie Meal is the perfect way for both companies to celebrate legalization in our shared home state of California,” said Scott Chung, Chief Operations Officer of MERRY JANE. “MERRY JANE is the industry leader bridging mainstream brands and legal cannabis culture. Leveraging our Emmy-nominated content production, MERRY JANE has created a campaign with Jack in the Box that marries our brands’ voices.”
The late-night value ‘MERRY Munchie Meals’ will be available from January 18th through the 25th so you’ll have to plan fast to take advantage. They will also only be available in Snoop’s hometown of Long Beach at the following locations:
5601 Pacific Coast Hwy, Long Beach, CA 90804
3032 Palo Verde Ave, Long Beach, CA 90808
652 Atlantic Ave, Long Beach, CA 90802
