Tryke Companies recently announced that its co-founder and CEO Matthew Morgan would be resigning. The company is a network of ten licenses in Arizona and Nevada for the cultivation, production and retail sale of medical and recreational cannabis. Tryke retail operations, d.b.a. Reef Dispensaries, currently has recreational shops in Nevada (Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, Sparks, Sun Valley) and medical dispensaries in Arizona (Central Phoenix, Queen Creek). Additional locations are to be coming soon.
The new shift in management will allow Morgan to pursue further business ventures in California’s rapidly expanding cannabis market. This is right on time for CA’s legalization of recreational cannabis which goes live January 1, 2018. Morgan will be staying onboard with Tryke to advise as a consultant during the transitional period. Co-founder and Chairman, Adam Ryan, will take over as operating CEO for Reef Dispensaries. Morgan stated, “These last four years have been some of the most amazing years of my life, from the great people I’ve had a chance to meet with to the next level of experiences that I’ve been a part of. That said, I have come to the decision to resign as CEO of Reef Dispensaries. This has been one of the most difficult decisions I’ve ever had to make, but I wish Reef and all of my colleagues nothing but the best moving forward. As for the next chapter? California, here I come.”
Adam Ryan expressed that Matt Morgan had done a great job building the company over the past few years and wished him great success in his new venture(s). Along with Morgan’s departure, Tryke will be bringing in two new additions to its management team.
Mark Conley joins the Tryke Companies team as Director of Retail. Conley was a district manager for Wal-Mart for 25 years and will be will use this expertise to oversee retail operations at (6) Reef locations across Nevada and Arizona. He will also be taking over any additional future dispensary expansions.
Danielle El Kadi has joined Tryke Companies as its new Head of Wholesale. El Kadi brings her vast knowledge of cannabis brands and products to Tryke. She previously worked as Director of Sales and Client Relations for Evergreen Organix.
